Don't miss the Play Like A Girl sessions in Brunswick.
Play Like A Girl sessions are held on the last Tuesday night of each month from February through to November at the Cornish Arms Hotel, Brunswick. Each session features a special guest artist who performs a set from approximately 7.30pm to 8pm.
After the guest artist's set, other women musicians who wish to perform can go on stage for up to two songs each either solo or with other musicians we can introduce them to on the night.
There is a stage with front of house speakers, foldback, microphones and two 'boom' mic stands. Allans Music + Billy Hyde provides backline equipment including bass and guitar amps, a drum kit and keyboard. There is also a sound technician on the night who mics up each act.
Play Like a Girl focuses on creating a supportive and creative environment for musicians of any genre and level of accomplishment from beginners through to experienced performers. For more check out myspace.com/iplaylikeagirl.
